Ellyt at PLMA 2026 in Amsterdam – new contacts, collaboration opportunities and valuable meetings
Ellyt snack brand at one of Europe's largest private label and retail trade fairs – PLMA World of Private Label 2026 in Amsterdam. This is an internationally very important fair, which brings together thousands of purchasing managers, retail chains, importers, private label partners and food manufacturers from all over the world.
The PLMA trade fair takes place every year in the Netherlands and is considered one of the most important meeting places for companies looking to increase exports, find new partners and monitor developments in the global food market. The fair usually attracts over 2,500 companies from more than 70 countries and tens of thousands of visitors. It provides a very good overview of where European and global retail is heading and what products consumers will prefer in the coming years.
60 new selected contacts and the work is just beginning
During the fair, Ellyt gathered nearly 60 new contacts from different countries. As always at fairs, the most important work begins only after the fair. The following months will mean meetings for us, sending samples, discussing pricing and cooperation models, and adapting products to the needs of different markets.
We are realistic and believe that about 5 of these contacts could grow into long-term and real cooperation. This is the nature of international trade fairs - quality contacts and building trust take time.
Meetings with existing partners
PLMA is not just a place to find new customers. Equally important is the opportunity to meet your existing partners face to face.
During the fair, we had several good meetings with both German and Estonian partners. Such meetings help to strengthen cooperation, discuss next steps, and plan new projects and markets.
In the international food world, trust and long-term relationships are very important - and trade fairs provide the best opportunity for this.
Monitoring market trends and competition
In addition to meetings at our stand, we also made quick trips to other exhibition halls to better understand the competitive situation and see what new solutions and trends are being introduced to the market.
At such fairs it is very important to observe:
- what flavors and ingredients are preferred,
- how packaging and design are changing,
- what health products are retail chains looking for,
- Where is the clean label and functional snack trend heading?,
- what new production technologies are used.
We are also constantly looking for new suppliers and partners who would help us develop even higher quality and more innovative products.
Estonian companies in the international arena
This year we participated in the fair together with the Estonian Food Federation and several other strong Estonian food brands. The joint presence of Estonian companies at an international fair sends a very strong message about the quality of our food industry and our ambition to grow in export markets.
The fair featured, for example:
- Balsnack
- Estonian Bakery
- Vegan
- Chef Lundén
- Mage
- Scanola Baltics
- Öun Drinks
- Balbino
- From the record
- Yook
- Mom
- Marmiton
It is inspiring to see how Estonian companies are increasingly able to stand out in the international market.
What did Ellyt present at PLMA?
Ellyt focused on its clean label and farmer-direct supply chain concept at the fair. Our:
- fruit bars,
- dried fruits,
- crispy fruit snack mixes,
- private label options,
- Direct cooperation with farmers and a transparent production chain.
Many buyers pointed out that consumers are increasingly looking for:
- products with simple ingredients,
- less processed snacks,
- natural flavors,
- transparent origin,
- healthy alternatives for everyday snacking.
These values have been at the heart of Ellyt since the beginning.
Thank you very much for all the meetings!
We would like to thank all partners, visitors and those interested in cooperation who stopped by our stand. Many thanks to the Estonian Food Association and all Estonian companies for their strong joint presence. We were very pleased to meet the Estonian Ambassador to the Netherlands and meet again with the head of the Estonian Food Association, Sirje Potisepp 🇪🇪
In addition, there was a very cool meeting with the world's tallest actor and bodybuilder Olivier Richters (@musclemeatnl) 💪
PLMA 2026 provided a lot of inspiration, valuable contacts, and confirmation that we are moving in the right direction with Ellyt – offering people cleaner, higher-quality everyday snacks. 🌿
